California Dashboard 2017: A Comparison of the Vallejo City Unified School District to Comparison Districts and Local Charter Schools
District and Charter School Comparisons of Performance Levels
Based on the 5 Dashboard Indicators
California has launched a field test of the California School Dashboard, an online tool designed to help communities across the state access important information about K-12 districts and schools. Performance levels were assigned based on current status as well as growth made over time. The Dashboard utilizes 5 color coded levels: blue, green, yellow, orange, and red, with blue being the highest and red being the lowest.
The graph in the link below provides a comparison of the performance of the Vallejo City Unified School District (VCUSD) to other districts and local charter schools:
VCUSD performance levels for academic achievement as measured by 3rd - 8th grade English Language Arts and Mathematics state testing are equal to or higher than comparison districts and local charters
VCUSD performance levels are higher in 4 of the 5 indicators than local charter schools
We celebrate the successes and at the same time staff, parents, students, and community partners for working hard every day to ensure continuous progress until VCUSD students are at the top performance level.
The California Department of Education and the State Board of Education unveiled the new accountability dashboard. Formerly, the state used the Academic Performance Index, or API, which used standardized tests to assess schools. CLICK HERE to view the dashboard.
