The Vallejo Adult School (VAS) has served the community since 1928 providing free and low cost classes for adults in the greater Vallejo area. Vallejo Adult School’s Mission is to provide quality education and preparation for the diverse citizens of the greater Vallejo community so that all may actively participate in the family, the community, the workplace, and the electoral process.

Vallejo Adult School provides the Vallejo City Unified School District with a number of skill and enrichment programs to serve adults it the Vallejo community.  These programs include English as a Second Language, Citizenship,  Adult Basic Education, GED Preparation, High School Diploma, Career Technical Education, Parenting skills and Older Adult programs in health and fitness, health management, arts and crafts and cognitive improvement.

Vallejo Adult School has established networks with the Vallejo Chamber of Commerce and the Solano Employment Council who both certify employability skills of eligible students and serve on both our career technical and ESL advisory boards. We work with the Vallejo Senior Center and the Area Agency on Aging in support of our senior students and are proud of our program designed specifically to support grandparents who are in the role of parents for their grandchildren.

The Vallejo Adult School main campus with administrative offices and many of its classrooms are located at 2833 Tennessee Street in Vallejo. Many classes are held at other places throughout Vallejo.  Specific schedules of classes are available in the Vallejo Adult School office.
