About The Audit Committee Authority
The Vallejo City Unified School District (VCUSD) Governing Board met on December 12, 2012 and voted to establish an Audit Committee for VCUSD.
Mission
The VCUSD Audit Committee was created to assist the Board with three overarching goals. These goals are:
- To assist the Governing Board in complying with its fiduciary oversight obligations.
- To provide advice and assistance to VCUSD Staff and make recommendations to the Board regarding strengthening internal financial controls.
- To provide greater transparency over public funds while improving public trust.
