AB 167 Legislative Action: An Extension of the Pass/No Pass Grading Option Under AB 104
Assembly Bill (AB) 167 (2021–22) provides an extension for AB 104 (Pass/No Pass Grading Option) at the high schools during COVID-19. Families of students enrolled in high school in the 2020–21 school year may apply to have a letter grade changed to a P/NP grade. Language in AB 167 states that LEAs accept Grade Change Application Submissions if the application is received by the student’s LEA on or before October 1, 2021, although school districts may extend the deadline longer based on local needs. The Vallejo City Unified School District continues to accept applications at this time until the established final deadline of Friday, December 3, 2021. For more information on the Pass/No Pass grading option, please contact the principal of your child’s high school.
